WHAT DOES TAFS DO?

TAFS acts as a catalyst and supports communication between the food industry, its regulators, its retailers, its consumers, and scientists involved in research on transmissible animal diseases.

  • Facilitating dialogue on the most up-to-date scientific information on transmissible animal diseases and its implications for food safety.
  • Maintaining and up-dating this website.
  • Publishing position papers on this website in order to disseminate reliable information.
  • Identifying knowledge gaps and promoting new research to fill these gaps.
  • Participating in research into practical disease control measures.
